Carroll Freeman, Stage Director
Michael Borowitz, Conductor
Rolando Salazar, Assistant Conductor

La Cenerentola is two acts of sheer delight by Gioachino Rossini. The libretto was written by Jacopo Ferretti, based on the fairy tale Cinderella. Composed at the age of twenty-five it is considered to be some of his best solo vocal and ensemble writing.  The story has been altered due to the constraints of “magic”, but is still an enchanting story filled with breathtaking musical moments and hilarious antics from the entire cast of characters. It is truly a timeless classic fairytale spun in delightful yet magical fashion by the genius, Rossini.
